COMPARISON OF ADHESIVE AND PASSIVE TRANSCUTANEOUS BONE CONDUCTION SYSTEMS IN ATRETIC CHILDREN

Introduction In 2017, the first adhesive bone conduction device (aBCD) was introduced. Since then, clinical studies have extensively compared devices to conventional systems on softbands. The aim of this study is evaluate audiological and subjective outcomes patients suffering from conductive hearing loss (CHL) who used an aBCD for a trial period, comparing with their existing passive transcutaneous implants (ptBCI), which either Sophono Alpha or BAHA Attract. Material methods This prospective included 14 congenital aural atresia between 7 16 years old. Participants had been ptBCI users at least 2 thresholds ≤ 25 dB HL. 1 week.
